TEMPO 2016
Sean, a native of South Africa, began his professional career on the professional polo circuit (USPA) as a groom where he moved up the ranks, eventually riding/training for several world class players (including a 10 goal Polo Hall of Fame inductee).
After laying roots in California, he went into starting his own training program, focusing on particularly in the areas of problem solving where it pertains to horses that could be considered difficult, blocked psychologically, or overly anxious.
He has more than 19 years (50 000 hours) of professional horse training experience and is regularly called in by world class trainers and competitors to consult and help recondition and re-train horses who display vices that hinder performance in top level competition. His approach helps to redefine the applications of pressure for the rider in terms of the horse’s understanding of it, and also the principles of 'connection' which lie at the very core of a horse's fundamantal psychology.

Currently his focus is on dressage and works as assistant to a former number 10 FEI ranked rider in the world in dressage with whom he trains with regularly.

Stop looking at your horse as an individual. They don't see themselves that way. To them they are part of a much larger entity ... the herd.
